摘要: A surface light source and a backlight unit having the same are provided to prevent degradation of phosphor and improve the uniformity of image quality by setting a communication hole to a part having an electrode. The first substrate(510) faces the second substrate(520) in an interval. A partition(530) for a plurality of discharge spaces(540) is installed in the interval. Electrode portions(550,560) generating the discharge voltage are formed in the surface of the second substrate and the first substrate. The communicating hole communicating the discharge space is formed in the partition. The bottom chassis receives the surface light source device. The optical sheet is arranged in the upper side of the surface light source device. The rigid frame is combined with the bottom chassis.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for shaping a panel are provided to prevent a marginal region of a panel from being warped so as to improve the flatness of the panel. A panel shaping apparatus includes a mold(110) and a gas pressure applying unit(130). The mold shapes a panel(20) which has a marginal region since the panel has a size greater than a standard size. The gas pressure applying unit closely sticks the marginal region of the panel to the mold. The gas pressure applying unit corresponds to a vacuum suction hole formed at the mold in a position corresponding to the marginal region of the panel.

摘要: A surface light source device and a backlight unit are provided to make the discharge efficiency promoted by altering the shape of the light source body. A first substrate(310) and a second substrate(320) are welded. The edge portion of the second substrate is welded with the edge portion of the first substrate. The rest of the first substrate and the rest of the second substrate form an internal space in which the interval of the fixed width is maintained. The edge portion of the first substrate is comprised of a upper plane region, a curved part and a lower plane region. The curved part is curve-cut with the fixed curvature. The curved part determines the height of the internal space formed of the first substrate and the second substrate.

摘要: A method and a device for bonding glass panels with each other are provided to improve brightness and brightness uniformity of a surface light source by arranging a diffusion plate and a prism sheet on an optical sheet. A first glass substrate(120) and a second glass substrate(130) are heated to a predetermined temperature lower than a softening temperature. The pressure is applied on a bonding position, such that the first address second glass substrates are bonded with each other. A pressure for generating a sticking between the first and second glass substrates under the predetermined temperature is equal to or smaller than the predetermined pressure applied on the bonding position. The predetermined pressure is a peripheral pressure. The pressure is applied by using a mold. The predetermined temperature lies between 580 and 620 °C.

A discharge channel is formed at least one of first and second substrates. A bead layer is formed at the inner or outer surface of the discharge channel.

In the holder, the width of the non-contact member is larger than that of the contact member. The thickness of the non-contact member is above 1/2 of that of the contact member. In the holder, plural non-contact members are formed with the same distance. The width of the outermost non-contact member among plural non-contact members is largest. The holder includes at least one penetration hole. A guide is formed at a side of the holder. A wire ejection hole is formed at the guide, and the holder has the elasticity and thermal conductivity.
