摘要: The aim of the invention is to produce low-alkali materials with a high degree of purity and homogeneity. This is achieved by a method for producing a low-alkali material containing borate, according to which a molten product containing boron is directly heated in a unit by induction, using an electromagnetic alternating field. The molten product contains as a constituent at least one metal oxide, whose metal ions are at least bivalent and whose molar material fraction is at least 25 molar % and whereby the ratio of the molar material fractions of silicon dioxide to borate in the molten product is less than or equal to 0.5.
