Abstract: PURPOSE: An agent is provided to reduce chlorinated aromatic compounds such as dioxin, PCB and DDT generated by incineration of waste matter. CONSTITUTION: Chlorinated aromatic compounds such as dioxin, PCB and DDT can be effectively reduced by mixing the chlorinated aromatic compounds with an SiH group-bearing organosilicon compound and heating the mixture at 150-1300 deg.C.
