摘要： A plate cooler module for a fuel cell stack with cathode and anode side pole plates (7a, 7b) whose faces (in direct electrical contact) form cooling surfaces enclosing a coolant distribution structure consisting of ducts (19) and surrounded by a seal (21), the pole plates being bonded together with adhesive applied to the cooling surface(s) outside the seal (21). An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a fuel cell stack by: (a) preparing the required numbers of pole plates (7a, 7b), seals (18, 21), membrane electrode units (MEA) (5, 5) and any other components; (b) placing the seals (21) between the cooling surfaces of the pole plates; (c) making modules by sticking the cooling surfaces of the pole plates together with an adhesive applied outside the seal (21) as above; (d) stacking plate cooler modules and MEAs alternately, with the anode of an MEA on the anode of a module and the cathode of an MEA on the cathode of a module and with a tight seal at the interfaces between MEAs and pole plates; (e) attaching current collectors to the first and last MEAs; (f) attaching external medium supply/discharge lines if there are no internal lines; and (g) bracing the stack between end plates.
