    摘要： PURPOSE: A method and a device for performing ultrasound imaging simplify and facilitate the operation of the device by using an ultrasound probe. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasound system includes an ultrasound probe (12) and a portable host system (14). The ultrasound probe includes a transducer array (100), a first beamformer, multiple analog-to-digital converters (120), and a first digital transceiver. The transducer array obtains ultrasound data. The first beamformer partially beamforms data received from the transducer array. The analog-to-digital converters convert the partially beamformed data to digital data. The first digital transceiver transmits the partially beamformed digital data. The portable host system is in communication with the ultrasound probe and includes at least one programmable device.
