The knitting unit conducts knitting in a circular shape using high twist yarn (512) discharged from the tube stand. A connecting member (70) with a smooth surface is installed in a horizontal direction between a creel stand and the tube stand. Abstract: The present invention relates to a detector of a circular knitting device for a spandex yarn. When the spandex yarn is supplied in order to apply elasticity to a circularly knitted fabric, the spandex yarn is supplied to have particular tension so that the cutting of the spandex yarn is minimized. The detector comprises: a yarn supply unit that supplies a spandex yarn to the bottom side; a rotating pipe that is installed between knitting units that knit the spandex yarn that is released and supplied from the yarn supply unit, applies particular tension to the spandex yarn supplied from the yarn supply unit, and rotates upwardly when the tension applied from the top part to the bottom part is removed by means of the supplied spandex yarn; a switch member that is switched through the rotation of the rotating pipe so as to detect the cutting of the spandex yarn; and an alarming unit that generates light or alarm sound if the cutting of the spandex yarn is detected by means of the switch member. A cylindrical-shaped guide rod made of ceramic material is installed in order to be horizontally fixed to the top end of the rotating pipe. The spandex yarn supplied from the yarn supply unit is supplied to the knitting unit while being hanged on the guide rod.
