    Abstract: PURPOSE: A power transmitter and a manipulator are provided to improve the workability and the controllability by widening an operating area of a manipulator joint. CONSTITUTION: A power transmitter comprises a flexible power transmitting member(52), a pair of driving pulley and slave pulley(50,51) and a pair of conical or tapered fixing pin(55). The flexible power transmitting member is wound in the pulleys. The fixing pins fix the flexible power transmitting member in the pulleys respectively. The fixing pins have through holes of the power transmitting member. The flexible power transmitting member is passed through the through holes. The fixing pins are forcibly inserted by burying in each pin burying hole of the pulleys while passing through the flexible power transmitting member through the through holes. The flexible power transmitting member is fixed in the pulleys and inserted in slit grooves in the burying holes simultaneously.
