PURPOSE: A hyper-hydrophobic surface treating method and an evaporator with a hyper-hydrophobic surface are provided to reduce time required for treating and to easily form the hyper-hydrophobic surface on a surface of an article which is complicated and cubic. CONSTITUTION: A hyper-hydrophobic surface treating method is as follows. A metallic base material is prepared(S10). A ceramic layer with a composite structure of a micro structure and a nano fiber structure is formed on a surface of the metallic base material by anodizing the metallic base material(S20). Hydrophobic polymer substances are coated on the composite structure so that a polymer layer having the same surface shape of the composite structure is formed(S30). Embodiments of the invention are directed toward a novel pressurized vapor cycle for distilling liquids. In some embodiments of the invention, a liquid purification system is revealed, including the elements of an input for receiving untreated liquid, a vaporizer coupled to the input for transforming the liquid to vapor, a head chamber for collecting the vapor, a vapor pump with an internal drive shaft and an eccentric rotor with a rotatable housing for compressing vapor, and a condenser in communication with the vapor pump for transforming the compressed vapor into a distilled product. Other embodiments of the invention are directed toward heat management, and other process enhancements for making the system especially efficient.

PURPOSE: An evaporator is provided to improve productivity and improving an evaporating operation by reducing the thicknesses of films formed on the inner walls of evaporating tubes. CONSTITUTION: An evaporator includes a housing(1), a plurality of upper plates(7), a plurality of evaporating tubes(9), and a heating unit. An inlet introduces liquid to a storing space(S1) which is the upper part of an upper plate, and the liquid flows along the inner wall of the evaporating tubes to be evaporated. A tubular adapter is combined with the upper side of the evaporating tubes. The adapter includes a main body and a cover. The main body is composed of a tube combining part, a hooking part, and a liquid distributing part. The tube combining part is inserted into one evaporating tube. The hooking part limits the insertion of the tube combining part with respect to the evaporating tube. The liquid distributing part is divided from the tube combining part by the hooking part. One or more liquid inlets are perforated at the lateral side of the adapter cover. The lower part of the adapter cover is fixed to the hooking part to secure a cylindrical filling space.

The invention relates to a falling film evaporator (1), which is fitted with a liquid distributor (5) which is divided into segments, such that it is possible to charge only a limited number of evaporator tubes (3) with liquid and the evaporator (1) can be operated in an optimum manner even with a partial load. The invention also relates to a method for operating said falling film evaporator (1), the aim of which is to transfer heat, which is released when a gas-vapour mixture is condensed, to a liquid which is to be evaporated at least partially. It would be useful to use said falling film evaporator (1) thus fitted in heat recuperation systems such as those used in the production of 1,2-dichloroethane.
