    摘要: A prodn. of an extruded, shaped biocarrier material of mean pore diam. over 20 microns comprises (1) forming a mixt. from (by wt.) 20- 70% calcined or flux-calcined diatomite particles of average pore dia. at least about 5 microns and particle size at least about 10 microns, 5-30% inorganic binder, 0-30% organic burn-out material, 1- 15% organic polymer processing aid and 20-50% solvent, (2) extruding this mixt. to shape and (3) drying or calcining the extrudate. The material has a larger pore diam., greater hardness (abrasion resistance) and strength compared with known carriers.
