PURPOSE: A method for preprocessing of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn for dyeing is provided to dye the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn with a general dyeing chemical through a simple physical process. CONSTITUTION: A method for preprocessing of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn for dyeing includes the following steps: applying a lubrication solution on the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn; preparing a cylindrical blowing pipe(10) connected to an air supply pipe(20); and striking the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn while passing the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn through the blowing pipe. A pair of front rollers(50) are installed at the front of the blowing pipe. A pair of back rollers(40) are installed at the rear of the blowing pipe.

A manufacturing method of a unidirectional fiber sheet and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve productivity of a conventional method for producing a fiber sheet, and to produce the unidirectional fiber sheet with a PE film which is the same material in PE fiber. A manufacturing method of a unidirectional fiber sheet includes the following steps of: passing fiber of different strands which are discharged by a sending roller(51) to one direction through a comber guide(50); making the fiber to a sheet state with a wide open roller(54); manufacturing unidirectional prepreg by dipping the sheet fiber in thermoplastic resin; applying a film(52) on the fiber sheet; removing a solvent by drying the sheet in a drying furnace(57); and stabilizing the fiber sheet in room temperature to prevent compression and expansion.

The invention relates to a rope containing a plurality of strands comprising a mixture of high-performance polyethylene fibres and polytetrafluoroethylene fibres in a mass ratio of 70:30 to 98:2. The rope shows markedly improved service life performance in cyclic bend-over-sheave applications. The invention also relates to the use of said rope as a load-bearing member in bend-over-sheave applications.
