A binder manufacturing method, a binder produced by the same, and molding sand produced by the binder are provided to increase mold permeability by preventing a mold from being dried quickly, due to good diffusibility and moisture absorptivity and to make the surface of the product smooth by reducing holes generated by the residual gas. A binder manufacturing method comprises the steps of: heating starch at 100~190deg.C for 1~2 hours with stirring the starch(Sa); adding iron oxide of 3~6wt.% below 300 meshes to the heated starch(Sb); and drying and crushing the starch containing the iron oxide(Sd). An acid of 0.2~0.3wt.% is added to the starch before heating the starch(Sc). A binder is crushed below 250 meshes. The binder of 0.2~0.5wt.% is firstly added to molding sand and then the binder of 0.03~0.1wt.% is secondly added.

An adhesive that includes a silica aquasol, an oxygen-moiety containing polymer, and clay, the surface of the silica being modified to include a metal, and the silica aquasol being deionized to a pH of 2.5 to 7.
