    摘要: PURPOSE: A nickel-metal hydride secondary battery is provided to improve the safety of the battery, a self-discharge property, the lifespan of the battery, and charge/discharge efficiency by coating the surface of an anode, a cathode, and a separator using a gel electrolyte for coating. CONSTITUTION: A nickel-metal hydride secondary battery comprises an anode, a cathode(103), and a separator(107) having surfaces which are coated with a gel electrylyte including 1-10 weight% of a gel polymer and 90-99 weight% of a potassium hydroxide(KOH) solution. The gel electrolyte additionally includes 1-10 parts by weight of porous ceramic or silica based on the gel polymer. The gel polymer is selected from a group comprising polyethylene oxide, polyvinylalcohol, and potassium polyacrylate.
