Abstract:
A motion simulator system includes a display screen and multiple rider motion apparatuses. Each rider motion apparatus supports at least one rider accommodation and is positionable in a ride position facing the display screen. The motion simulator system includes multiple motion bays with an open front end facing the display screen. Each motion bay encloses at least one of the rider motion apparatuses. Multiple motion bays can be stacked facing the same display screen. A subset of the rider motion apparatuses may be activated, even when one or more rider motion apparatuses are in an inactive state. A visual display can be provided on the display screen that is synchronized with motion of the active rider motion apparatuses.
Abstract:
A user motion apparatus has a track. A motion assembly is movably mounted to the track. A drive member drives the motion assembly along the track. A tolerance accommodation member has a first connector portion fixedly mounted to the motion assembly, a second connector portion fixedly mounted to the drive member, and a third connector portion that extends between the first connector portion and the second connector portion. The third connector portion is movably mounted to a first end of the first connector portion and separately movably mounted to a first end of the second connector portion whereby the first connector portion and the second connector portion are movable relative to one another allowing a distance between the first end of the first connector portion and the first end of the second connector portion to vary thereby accommodating a range of manufacturing tolerances in the track.
Abstract:
A motion simulator is provided with a motion simulator accommodation that is dynamically mounted to a fixed datum or platform and is positioned facing a presentation. The motion simulator is provided with one or more access fitting which may be used to assist a person to enter the motion simulator accommodation. At least one of the motion simulator accommodation and the access fitting is movable with respect to each other from a first position to a second position, wherein, in the second position, the access fitting is less perceptible during the presentation than in said first position.
Abstract:
Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system for controlling a physical effect in a theatre, the system comprising: an audio/video (A/V) component, the A/V component being capable of processing A/V media that is associated with data indicating when the physical effect should be activated; a show control device communicably linked to the A/V component, the show control device being capable of translating the data into one or more signals that are capable of causing the physical effect to be activated; and a control assembly communicably linked to the show control device, the control assembly capable of receiving the one or more signals and activating the physical effect in response.

Abstract:
A seat assembly comprises a plurality of stabilizing members mounted to a base. A passenger support member is moveably mounted along the plurality of stabilizing members. A plurality of spaced apart inflatable actuators are drivingly connected to the passenger support member.
Abstract:
A user motion apparatus has a track and a motion assembly. A mounting assembly movably mounts the motion assembly to the outer track surface. The mounting assembly has a first track member connected to the motion assembly and a captive arm with a first arm portion connected to the motion assembly. The first track member is movably mounted to the outer track surface and includes a coupling section extending through the outer track surface. The captive arm has a second arm portion extending through the outer track surface to an engagement height. The second arm portion is configured to engage the coupling section at the engagement height. The second arm portion maintains engagement with the coupling section at the engagement height as the first track member moves along the track whereby the first track member and second track member cooperate to maintain the motion assembly on the track.
