Abstract: A surface acoustic wave resonator that has at least a first resonant frequency and a second resonant frequency is disclosed. The surface acoustic wave resonator can include an interdigital transducer electrode that is positioned over a piezoelectric layer. The interdigital transducer electrode includes fingers having a first pitch. The surface acoustic wave resonator can also include a first set of reflectors that is positioned over the piezoelectric layer. The first set of reflectors includes a first number of reflectors having a second pitch. The first pitch is greater than the second pitch. The surface acoustic wave resonator can also include a second set of reflectors that is positioned over the piezoelectric layer. The second set of reflectors includes a second number of reflectors having a third pitch. The second number of reflectors is different from the first number of reflectors.

Abstract: An anti-defeat magnetically actuated proximity sensor including a switch unit and an actuating unit in separate housings. The switch unit can include one or more biased or non-biased magnetic reed switches, circuit boards, armored cable and wires. The actuating unit can include one or more magnets of specific polarity. The physical arrangement of the one or more reed switches of the circuit boards and the one or more magnets of the actuating unit result in the proximity sensor's anti-defeat characteristics.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for image guidance, a medical device and a computer-readable storage medium. The method for image guidance includes: controlling an imaging mechanism to rotate around a patient positioning mechanism; acquiring a first image in response to that the imaging mechanism is rotated to any one of the capturing angles, the first image being a medical image of the patient captured by the imaging mechanism at a first capturing angle, and the first capturing angle being a capturing angle to which the imaging mechanism is currently rotated; performing, after a second image corresponding to the first image is acquired, image guidance using a combination of the first image and the second image as an indicator of a current position state of the patient.

Abstract: A non-contact temperature measurement system for calculating estimated core body temperature is disclosed. The temperature measurement system can include a sensor that can detect the temperature of a patient and the temperature of ambient surrounding. The temperature of the patient and the ambient temperature can then be used to determine a core body temperature. The temperature measurement system includes an optical module having a light emitter and a light detector. The light emitter emits a beam of light towards the patient and the light detector detects a beam of light reflected by the patient. The reflected beam is analyzed to determine a distance between the temperature measurement system and the patient.

Abstract: A method of making an acoustic sensor (e.g., a piezoelectric sensor for a piezoelectric microelectromechanical systems microphone) includes forming or depositing one or more piezoelectric layers to define a beam extending between a proximal portion and a distal tip (e.g., unsupported free end), the beam having a width in plan view that is greater at a location distal of the proximal portion than at the proximal portion. The method also comprises attaching the beam to a substrate in cantilever form so that the proximal portion of the beam is anchored to the substrate and the distal tip is a free unsupported end of the beam. One or more electrodes are disposed on or in the proximal portion of the beam.

Abstract: An energy storage device container can suppress fires and can comprise a compartment configured to receive an energy storage device and a chamber configured to hold a fire suppressive agent, the chamber being positioned above the compartment. A barrier can be positioned between the compartment and the chamber and can physically separate the fire suppressive agent from the energy storage device to inhibit the fire suppressive agent from entering the compartment when the barrier is in a first physical state. The barrier can change from the first physical state to a second physical state in response to thermal energy having a threshold temperature to allow the fire suppressive agent to enter the compartment to contact the energy storage device.
