摘要： A game simulating business startup to initial public offering includes a board, business plans, playing pieces, cards and money. At the beginning of the game, the players fill out the beginning of a business plan. During the game, the players guide the business through four stages in order to form the business, build the management team, obtain funding, hire employees, locate office space, develop a product, market the product, hire lawyers and investment bankers, and deal with the securities and exchange commission. If successful, the company reaches IPO and the player calculates the net worth of the company. The board is square and divided into four stages. Each stage has a number of spaces and a respective goal to be accomplished during the stage, and each stage represents a point along a path from business startup to initial public offering. A numbers of playing pieces are provided and each player chooses a piece. The game is played by each player rolling dice and moving his playing piece from a start position on the board toward a finish position by way of the various stages. The game is not limited to a board and may also be played on a computer. A computer game embodiment of the invention can employ a multi-person game played over the internet, or can employ the computer as a record keeper or second player.

摘要： A belt drive transmission is disclosed which comprises a first gear, a second gear and a belt. The preferred embodiment is for a bicycle transmission which employs a plurality of gears in place of said first and second gears and employs a derailer to move the belt among selected gear ratios. A novel design of gears and a derailer permits the transmission to employ lighter materials thereby reducing the overall weight associated with a transmission.

摘要： An exemplary embodiment of a project docket management apparatus includes a processor configured to execute a control program and communicate with a user. In a typical aspect, the processor is located in a server computer. The user is one of the personnel assigned to a given project and has authorization to log into the server and access a database of records. The user communicates with the processor to selectively add, edit, modify and delete project records depending on his access level. If the user is an administrator, he has full control over the database records. If the user has a lower access level, he may only be able to view records, for example. The apparatus further includes a notification structure that periodically distributes information to project personnel based on predefined dates or activities.
