Abstract:
A connected account provider system allows a user of multiple electronic devices to set up a user account on one device with the device's settings saved in the cloud for application across different devices. A user can obtain secure access to the saved settings using a second (or subsequent) device and can select settings from the initial device to be synchronized to the second device. The system employs client account provider (CAP) software that can be obtained from an independent software provider and is installed on different devices of a user. The CAP client software creates an architecture on a user's device with a CAP client software layer conceptually separate from the device's operating system software. The CAP client software provides extension points for facilitating connection between connected user devices' operating systems and a cloud services layer typically provided by the CAP client software vendor.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for conducting peer-to-peer (PTP) Internet searches utilizing tagged web resources, that is, web resources that the local user and/or a user at an associated remote computing device has tagged as evidence of a desire to have that resource as part of a PTP search community of resources, are provided. A user's search query is received and local and/or remote client computers associated with the user are searched directly for stored web resource links corresponding to the user's search query. Links to web resources that are identified by the search as corresponding to (i.e., satisfying) the user's search query are presented to the user. The user may then review the presented web resource links and determine if he or she would like to tag the web resource and add it to his or her local list of resources as part of the foundation for future PTP community searches.
Abstract:
A retractable igniter having a safety mechanism to retract the source of ignition during an inactive period, avoiding unnecessary contact with said source of ignition is described, such igniter comprises: an ignition chamber, an electrode, an electrical high voltage assembly, an electrical high voltage assembly, an external pipe, an internal pipe and an activation lever.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reinforcement device (1, 100), especially a reinforcement device useable in a machine for laminating rims for wheels of automotive vehicles, the machine comprising at least two substantially parallel laminating axles (21, 22, 121, 122), the reinforcement device (1, 100) being characterized by comprising a body (4, 101) associated to the housing (2, 102) of the lamination machine, the positioning of the body being variable with respect to the housing (2, 102), the body (4, 104) being provided with two bearings (41, 42, 141, 142) supportable on respective end regions of the axles (21, 22, 121, 122), so that the axles (21, 22, 121, 122) are maintained substantially parallel during the operation of laminating the rim, at least one bearing being moveable with respect to the reinforcement device by a moving means (51, 52, 150). With great advantages, the invention can be used in usual lamination machines existing in the factory, thus making it possible to manufacture larger and more resistant wheel rims, with good quality and reduced cost, without potentially destructive overloads on the machine. In addition, the device brings about greater uniformity between the successive lots of rims produced, besides reducing the dimensional tolerances of each piece, which results better quality and more satisfaction of the clients.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of miotic cholinergic substances alone or in combination with prostaglandin F2α analogues, for the preparation of a medicament compound for the prevention and treatment of myopia. It has been found that the use proposed in the present invention has resulted in the stabilization and reduction of the refractive degree, besides of the reduction of the elastance of the posterior pole of the eye and, consequently, of the CA/A ratio. Moreover, an improved visual acuity for all distances, with consequent improvement in contrast sensitivity and image sharpness, increased choroidal irrigation, and improved retinal cell action in the image receiving process was noted.
Abstract:
Disclosed are communication devices and methods of a communication devices that include accessing the contact list of the memory by the controller, initiating communication based upon the contact list input by the controller and generating by the controller, a setup message that includes communication address data populating a field for a communication address and includes identification data populating a field for identification information. The disclosed method can further include transmitting a call setup message signal of a control channel, such as a stand-alone dedicated control channel including a populated field for identification information. Moreover, additional data populating a field for additional information can also be included in the call setup message signal. The additional data can represent for example, the purpose of the call, such a personal call or a business call or any other additional information.
