摘要: A mounting assembly configured to attach a headlight to a vehicle includes a mounting bracket and a support member attachable to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket includes a first portion and a second portion extending from the first portion. The first portion is configured for attachment to the vehicle, and the second portion includes a major surface defining a longitudinally curved saddle. The support member includes a base configured for attachment to a housing of the headlight and a curved seat configured to couple to the curved saddle of the mounting bracket. In this regard, the curved saddle and the curved seat are configured to have substantially complementary curvature such that the curved seat nests relative to the curved saddle. Longitudinal movement of the curved seat of the support member relative to the curved saddle of the mounting bracket permits a height adjustment of the headlight. A connector extends through an elongate bore in the second portion of the mounting bracket and connects to the support member to securely fix the relative positions of the support member and the mounting bracket.

摘要: An electronic security scheme and security system for a communications network facilitates the preventing of unauthorized access to an internal resource of an entity's internal computer system. A server includes a first set of ports for communication between an external communications network and the server. The server has a second set of ports for communications between an internal communications network and the server. A first firewall is interposed between the server and the external communications network. The first firewall is coupled to the first set of ports to provide at least one interconnection between the first set of ports and the external communications network. A second firewall is interposed between the server and the internal communications network. In one embodiment, the second firewall is coupled to the second set of ports to provide in a nonnegative integer number of interconnections between the second of set ports and the internal communications network.

摘要: A method and system for online processing of life insurance applications includes receiving information that identifies an individual to be insured and describes the insurability of the individual. A certification may be received via an electronic data communications link confirming whether an illustration of a life insurance policy was delivered to the policy applicant. Furthermore, information may be received via an electronic data communications link from a third party confirming the identity of the individual to be insured. When a commitment to purchase the policy is received, a personalized temporary insurance certificate may be issued to the applicant, preferably accompanied by a temporary insurance agreement specifying the terms of temporary life insurance coverage extended to the individual. An authorization may also be received via an electronic data communications link authorizing immediate collection of medical history information from one or more third parties concerning the individual to be insured.
