    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for image scaling with enhanced compression. One embodiment is a processor that receives an instruction to scale an input image to create an output image that is higher in resolution, and analyzes rows of the input image in sections according to a run length of a predetermined number of consecutive pels. For each run length of consecutive pels, the processor determines a cluster of adjacent pels within the run length having a color intensity value within a threshold range, and determines a replacement intensity value for the cluster based on at least one color intensity value of a pel in the cluster. The processor creates the output image by: upscaling the cluster by the scale factor to multiply a number of pels in the cluster, and changing an intensity value of all pels in the cluster to the replacement intensity value.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for selectively qualifying printers for printing incoming jobs, based on an amount of colors within the job that the printers can reproduce. One embodiment is a system that includes an interface and a memory storing a print job defined in a job color space. The system also includes a controller that identifies colors specified by print data in the print job, determines coordinates of the colors in a perceptual color space, selects a printer, determines boundaries of a color gamut of the printer in the perceptual color space, and determines an amount of the colors that the printer is capable of reproducing. When the amount is greater than a threshold, the controller qualifies the printer for printing the print job. When the amount is less than the threshold, the controller disqualifies the printer from printing the print job.

One embodiment comprises a system that includes a printhead fluidly coupled to an ink input supply, and a controller to direct the printhead to eject drops of ink of an ink drop type. The system further includes an ink output estimator to estimate an ink output amount ejected from the printhead based on an estimated quantity of the ejected drops of ink of the ink drop type and an estimated size of the drop type, and an ink measurement device to measure an ink input amount provided by the ink input supply to the printhead. The system also includes a correction module to adjust the estimated size of the drop type based on the ink output amount and the ink input amount for a printing operation.
