摘要： A carton suitable for dispensing flat, flexible bags and the like, having a top cover comprising a top panel, opposing side walls, and an end wall formed by at least one inwardly folded end panel extending from one of the opposing side walls, the end panel being slightly shorter in height than the opposing side walls so that the end panel forms an elongated bag dispensing slot in the end wall along an edge of the top panel; and an elongated flap extending from the edge of the top panel and being folded inwardly to overlap the end panel, the flap being removably secured to the end panel, thereby adding strength to the end wall while at the same time covering the bag dispensing slot.

摘要： A packaged food casing article includes a dispensing carton, a roll of casing rotatably supported within the carton, and a strip of splice tape releasably attached to a carton closure flap. The tape as oriented on the flap extends transverse to the casing dispensing direction and is attachable to an end of the casing when effecting a splice to the casing length being dispensed from the carton. The flap maintains the splice tape in a proper orientation during splicing and provides a work surface against which the casing is pressed for effecting the splice.

摘要： The invention is a package including a bundle of shirred casing sticks disposed and held together by a container which completely encloses the bundle. The container is formed insitu about the bundle from a heat shrink film which stiffens on heat shrinking to provide a self-supporting container conforming in shape generally to the bundle shape. During heat shrinking, portions of the film are insulated to prevent welding of these portions so they provide flaps which open to permit removal or replacement of sticks.

摘要： A package or "caddie" of fifty (50) shirred tubular sticks of food casing is formed by stacking the sticks in seven rows one on another the lowermost row containing five side-by-side stack, each of the next four rows containing one stick more than the row below and each of the top two rows having one stick less than the row below. This forms a six sided caddie wherein all internal angles as formed by the sides of the stack are 120.degree. and the perimeter of the stack is formed by a continuous unbroken progression of side-by-side sticks. A stretch film disposed transversely about the stack bundles the sticks tightly together.
