Abstract: A U-shaped winch frame has a winding drum for a flexible tiedown element journaled in its arms which have notches in their opposite edges into which extend inwardly projecting flanges on a track which is fixedly secured to the body of a vehicle so that the winch can be freely slid along said track into different positions relative to the truck body and the cargo load thereon.
