    Abstract: Techniques associated with determining a quantity of an item to inventory may be described. In particular, statistical data about variables associated with the item may be accessed. The statistical data may be generated based on historical realizations of the variables. The quantity may be computed based on this data. For example, a plurality of regrets corresponding to inventorying a plurality of quantities of the item may be generated based on the statistical data. The quantity may be determined from the plurality of quantities as one corresponding to an acceptable regret from the plurality of regrets.

    Abstract: A distributed execution environment includes various resources, such as instances of computing resources, hardware resources, and software resources. Values for attributes of the resources are collected. The collected attribute values for the resources are utilized to compute minhash values for the resources that describe the similarity between the resources. The computed minhash values are then utilized to generate a resource similarity visualization that provides a visual indication of the similarity between the resources.

    Abstract: A request is received to change an association of a network interface record from a first resource instance to a second resource instance. The network interface record may include an IP address associated with the first resource instance. In response to the request, the first resource instance is prevented from receiving data packets addressed to the IP address of the network interface record through a first network interface object attached to the first resource instance. The network interface record is associated with the second resource instance so that the second resource instance is enabled to receive data packets addressed to the IP address of the network interface record through a second network interface object attached to the second resource instance.
