Abstract: Methods and devices for performing an offline beam search. The methods include receiving a radio frequency signal comprising a reference signal, wherein the radio frequency signal corresponds to a transmitter beam, projecting the radio frequency signal on orthogonal signal subspaces and storing the projected signals and performing a beam search to identify a receiver beam for the transmitter beam using the projected signals, wherein the beam search is performed offline.
