Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic devices having multiple renderers. The multiple renderers may include a system renderer that renders system content and application content generated by some applications at the electronic device, and one or more application renderers that render application content generated by one or more other corresponding applications. The electronic device may include a compositor that receives rendered content from the system renderer and one or more application renderers, and generates a composite display environment that concurrently includes the rendered content from the system renderer and one or more application renderers.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic devices that can provide protected use of user-related information to applications, for generating user-specific outputs. The protected access may allow an application to process the user-related information within a processing environment of a processor that is separate from a primary processor of an electronic device. Within that processing environment, the application can utilize the user-related information to generate a user-specific output from the device. However, the application is prevented from extricating the user-related information, and information derived from the user-related information, from that processing environment.

Abstract: This application relates to techniques for dynamically displaying relevant files for selection by a user at a computing device. The technique can provide a file browser that, upon detection of a file selection, performs enumeration procedures on a file access service that provides the file. The results of the enumeration procedures are utilized by a file provider daemon to synchronize locally cached files that fall under the domain of at least one file access service. Using key property data identified by the file provider daemon, a file access service responsible for a locally cached file can communicate an updated version of the locally cached for receipt by the file browser. The file browser can then display the updated version of the locally cached file within a pre-defined category for quick access by the user.
