Abstract: The representative embodiments discussed in the present disclosure relate to techniques in which isolation between transmission signals and received signals in a transceiver may be maintained during downlink carrier aggregation. More specifically, in some embodiments, the transceiver may be implemented to include an electrical balance duplexer that isolates a signal component of a signal transmitted via the transceiver from a receiver signal path of the transceiver. The transceiver may also include analog interference cancellation circuitry implemented to isolate a noise component of the signal transmitted via the transceiver from the receiver signal path (e.g., from one or more downlink receiver channels). As such, the transceiver may operate using inter-band, non-contiguous downlink carrier aggregation, intra-band, non-contiguous downlink carrier aggregation, intra-band, contiguous carrier aggregation, and/or the like.

The memory may store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the electronic device to perform operations including receiving, a first muting configuration indicating when the radio frequency communication circuitry is to communicate using a first type of communication on a first frequency band and when the radio frequency communication circuitry is to communicate using a second type of communication on a second frequency band, where the first frequency band may overlap with the second frequency band. The memory may store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the electronic device to perform operations including transmitting or receiving a data packet using the radio frequency communication circuitry according to the communication configuration.

Abstract: The representative embodiments discussed in the present disclosure relate to techniques in which isolation between transmission signals and received signals in a transceiver may be maintained across a range of transceiver operating conditions, such as across range of output powers of a power amplifier of the transceiver. More specifically, an electrical balance duplexer may be implemented to include an adaptive power equalizer and a power equalizer control such that the attenuation of the electrical balance duplexer may be adjusted based on the transceiver operating conditions. For instance, a method may be employed to determine the output power of the power amplifier and to adjust the attenuation of the adaptive power equalizer based in part on the output power to maintain isolation between the transmission signals and the received signals.
