Abstract: Self-extinguishing molding compositions based on polyoxymethylenes containing from 5 to 15%, preferably 7 to 10%, by weight (based on the total weight of the molding composition) of finely divided red phosphorus and from 1 to 40%, preferably 15 to 35%, by weight (based on the total weight of the molding composition) of glass fibers, and a method of preparing such molding compositions.
