Abstract: The present disclosure provides a detection apparatus for a display panel component and a method for detecting a display panel component, the detection apparatus of the display panel component including a reflectance measuring device for measuring the light reflectance of the display panel component along a preset path, the preset path passing through a first position and a second position, and a distance measuring device for acquiring a distance between the first position and the second position according to the measured data of the reflectance measuring device, wherein there is a light reflectance abrupt change in the first position and the second position, respectively.
