Abstract: A method for a user to paint an image includes generating a display of a room image uploaded by the user. The method also includes employing a straight-line masking tool to block off a first area of the room image with a straight line such that color will not be applied to the first area when color is applied to a second area of the room image. The method also includes employing a polygon masking tool to draw at least three lines to mask off a selected polygon area of the room image such that color can be applied by the user to an inside of the selected polygon area when the user selects the inside of the selected polygon area and an outside of the selected polygon area when the user selects the outside of the selected polygon area.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided an include generating a depth map by performing depth estimation on an image having at least one wall, generating a first edge map that includes a first set of edge lines outlining the at least one wall by performing edge detection on the image, generating a second edge map that includes a second set of edge lines by performing edge detection on the depth map, generating a third edge map by thinning a width of each edge line in the first set of edge lines, generating a fourth edge map by performing a skeletonization function on the depth map, generating a final edge map based on the third edge map and the fourth edge map, generating a colorized image by applying color to the final edge map to paint the at least one wall, and displaying the colorized image on a display.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided and include a server configured to provide an application to a remote computing device. The application displays a project image including a photo of a paintable structure and a hot spot located at a predefined location within the project image and configured to draw attention by at least one of blinking, pulsing, and enlarging. The application displays a first link and a second link in response to a cursor being controlled to touch or roll over the hot spot. The application displays at least one of a color name and a color number associated with a paint color at the predefined location of the hot spot in response to receiving input selecting the first link, and displays a color summary including a list of paint colors used in the project image in response to receiving input selecting the second link.

Abstract: A method for enabling a user to paint an image uploaded to a device is provided. The method includes uploading an image to the device, performing a depth estimation on the image to generate a depth map, and performing an edge detection on the image to generate a first edge map. The method also includes performing the edge detection on the depth map to generate a second edge map, performing a skeletonization function on the first edge map to generate a third edge map, and performing the skeletonization function on the depth map to generate a fourth edge map. The method also includes generating a final edge map using the third edge map and the fourth edge map, generating a colorized image by applying color to the final edge map to paint at least one wall of a scene, and displaying the colorized image on a display of the device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for color coordination for scanned products are provided. A kiosk has an input device, a display device, and an optical code reader. The kiosk has access to a product/color database.
