An event sensing method using a frequency component in a surveillance camera comprises the steps of: obtaining at least one of a plurality of frequency components for a first frame of a digital image and at least one of a plurality of frequency components for a second frame after the first frame of the digital image; and sensing whether an event occurs in a digital image corresponding to the second frame by using the at least one of the plurality of frequency components for the first frame and the at least one of the plurality of frequency components for the second frame.
Abstract:
An image monitoring system for vehicle for detecting a left lane area and a right lane area behind a vehicle using a region of interest (ROI) is provided. The system includes a rear camera, a memory configured to store an image obtained from the rear camera, and a controller configured to be set to one of a driving mode and a parking mode based on whether the vehicle is traveling and to detect an event from the image obtained from the rear camera. The controller set to the driving mode sets the ROI corresponding to the left lane area and the right lane area behind the vehicle on the image obtained from the rear camera, while the vehicle is traveling, detects whether an object is located on or enters the ROI, and notifies a driver of the vehicle of the detected result using an alarm.

A method for storing an image of a vehicle black box comprises: an image input step for inputting an image through a camera module; a temporary storage step for temporarily storing the inputted image in a temporarily processing unit, which consumes relatively low power, and allowing an event processing unit, which consumes relatively high power, to be in a sleep state or a power-off state; and an event storage step for allowing the event processing unit to be returned from the sleep state or the power-off state and storing in the event processing unit an image for the event from the time of the event occurrence up until before a predetermined time and from the time of the event occurrence up until after a predetermined time.
