    Abstract: An oral care implement (100) includes an elastomeric component and a method of forming the same. In one embodiment, the oral care implement (100) includes a handle (120) and a head (110). The elastomeric component is positioned on at least one of the handle (120) and the head (110). The elastomeric component includes a body, a plurality of the first particles (202), and a plurality of the second particles (203). The body comprises a transparent or translucent elastomeric material. The pluralities of first and second particles are embedded in the body of the elastomeric component. The plurality of first particles (202) includes a first color and the plurality of second particles (203) includes a second color. The elastomeric component may form a tissue cleanser (140) on a rear surface of the head, an elastomeric tooth cleaning element (150) on a front surface of the head, and/or a grip (121) on the handle (120).

    Abstract: An oral implement comprises a head (10) and a handle (12). The head (10) comprises a first face (14) and a plurality of cleaning elements (34, 36) extending therefrom, a proximal section (16) adjacent to the handle (12) and a distal section (18) remote from the handle (12). The head (10) further comprises a flexible bridge (20) coupling the distal section (18) to the proximal section (16), so that the distal section (18) is flexibly moveable relative to the proximal section (16). The flexible bridge (20) further comprises at least one elastomeric cleaning element extending from the first face (14); wherein the at least one elastomeric cleaning element extends along the flexible bridge (20) in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the head (10).

    Abstract: An oral care implement that includes a handle and a head. The head, which has an exposed front surface and an exposed rear surface, may include a support structure having a perimetric wall that defines a central opening and a monolithic cleaning unit including a pad located within the central opening and molded bristles extending from the pad. The support structure and the pad may collectively define the exposed front surface and the exposed rear surface of the head. Furthermore, the support structure may have a maximum thickness of 3 mm or less measured from a front surface of the perimetric wall to a rear surface of the perimetric wall.
