Abstract: A passive optical module delivers multiple passive optical services. The passive optical services are received from a central office on a single fiber optic cable. The passive optical module provides high channel isolation between services, thereby ensuring high-quality service, while allowing multiple services to be distributed using the same fiber optic cable. A passive optical network filter arrangement is optically connected to a common optical connection and provides a passive optical network service connection, the passive optical network filter arrangement has a reflect port. The outer mounting body includes a through-hole, where the two flexible legs of the crimp body fit into one end of the through-hole. It also includes tabs on opposing sides of the outer mounting body for slidable insertion into slots defined by the telecommunications device to prevent movement of the outer mounting body in a front to back direction, relative to the device.

Abstract: A fiber optic cassette may include a cassette body defining a front end, a rear end, and an enclosed interior. Multiple identical apertures are included on the front end of the cassette body, where each aperture is configured to accept a fiber optic adapter. The cassette may further include an optical component located in an enclosed interior of the cassette body and configured to process a signal received from a fiber optic connector coupled to one of the fiber optic adapters, a crimp tube mounted to the front end of the cassette body, and at least one fiber optic cable attached to the crimp tube, extending from the cassette and configured to carry the signal processed by the optical component. The fiber optic cable may include a jacket, a strength member crimped to the crimp tube, and optical fibers extending past the crimp tube into the interior of the cassette body, wherein the mounting structure for mounting the crimp tube to the cassette body is receivable within one of the identical apertures.

Each module carries a plurality of optical adapters, which each define multiple de-mateable connection interface locations. In certain examples, each connection interface location enables a connection between multiple pairs of optical fibers. A WDM or other optical circuitry may be provided within the module to optically couple an input connection interface location to output connection interface locations.

Abstract: Integrated WDM mux/demux devices are disclosed. Some embodiments are directed to an in-line WDM mux/demux device formed with a substrate and a common port at a first side of the substrate and a plurality of separated wavelength ports at a second side of the substrate. The first side of the substrate is free of separated wavelength ports. Other embodiments are directed to a WDM mux/demux device in which a linear variable filter is disposed in the substrate for separating the signals in different channels. In other embodiments, the filter or filters are sandwiched between the edges of adjacent substrates, such that light propagating along a waveguide in one of the substrates is transmitted through the filter to a waveguide in the second substrate. The adjacent substrates may be mounted to a base substrate.
