Abstract: A telecommunications equipment frame including a base, and two vertical uprights, and a top member; the upright members defining an upper equipment zone and a lower cable tray zone. One or more front trays are in the lower cable tray zone, and openings are provided through the frame to one or more rear trays. The equipment zone defined by the two uprights is open without cable management structure for receiving telecommunications equipment. At least one slack storage zone adjacent to the central zone includes a plurality of cable management devices for storing cable slack.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to structures and configurations for breaking out fibers from cables and/or securing the ends of protective mesh sleeves to other structures such as brackets, cables and trays/cassettes. The mesh sleeves can be adapted to protect optical fibers that pass therethrough. In one example, a mesh sleeve can be secured to another structure by an anchor including a reinforcing insert that fits in the mesh sleeve and a clamping housing that mounts over the mesh sleeve.

Abstract: A telecommunications device includes a module that mounts within an interior of a housing. The housing has a door that latches closed. The module includes a module frame having a bulkhead that divides the interior of the housing into first and second regions. Fiber optic adapters are mounted to the bulkhead. First ports of the adapters are accessible at the first region of the housing interior and second ports are accessible at the second region of the housing interior. The module includes a removable cover for restricting access to the first region. The removable cover including a latch catch that interlocks with the door latch to secure the door in the closed position. The module includes a tray mounted to the module frame within the first region of the housing.

Abstract: A double jointed hinge mechanism for pivotally coupling a door to a telecommunications chassis includes an first hinge arm configured to be non-rotatably attached to the chassis, a second hinge arm non-rotatably attached to the door, and a third hinge arm pivotally attached to the first and second hinge arms. The hinge mechanism is configured such that the door can be placed in a first open position and a second open position through rotation about first and second rotational axes. In the first open position, the door is in a generally horizontal position and below the first rotational axis. In the second open position, the door is in a generally vertical position and forward of a vertical plane defined by the first rotational axis.

Abstract: A cable boot is mounted to a telecommunications module housing an optical component, wherein the cable boot extends outwardly from the module. The cable boot is mounted by axially passing the cable boot over a plurality of cables carrying fiber optic signals leading to the optical component, axially passing a portion of the cable boot through a cutout defined on a main housing of the telecommunications module, placing a boot retainer over the boot in a direction transverse to the axial direction to capture the flexible boot against movement both in the axial direction and the transverse direction, and mounting a cover on the main housing to capture the boot retainer against the main housing.

Abstract: A pivoting mounting bracket enables a user to select a cable entry direction for a pre-cabled chassis. The cable can be anchored to the mounting bracket prior to selecting the cable entry direction. A cable guide may protect against overbending of the cable during pivoting of the mounting bracket. Certain types of chassis can be pre-cabled with at least 576 or even at least 864 optical fibers within a 5 RU space. Certain types of chassis can include a v-shaped panel to hold front ports (e.g., optical adapters).

Abstract: A bladed chassis system facilitates installation of the bladed chassis system and replacement of the blades at the chassis. For example, a front panel of the blade can be opened either upwardly or downwardly at the discretion of the user. Blades can be inserted and removed from the front and/or the rear of the bladed chassis system at the discretion of the user. Cables can be routed to the rear of the chassis system from either of two sides at the discretion of the user. The blades carried by the chassis have fiber management trays that can be rotationally oriented in any desired rotational position at the discretion of the user.
