Abstract: A system for measuring topography of the surface of a ground engaging tool is disclosed. The system may include a machine and the ground engaging tool. A phased array ultrasonic sensor may be associated with the ground engaging tool and configured to create ultrasonic pulses within the ground engaging tool. A communication device may be associated with the phased array ultrasonic sensor. A monitoring component may communicate with the phased array ultrasonic sensor via the communication device, and may be configured to receive signals from the phased array ultrasonic sensor and monitor the topography of the ground engaging tool.

Abstract: A power limiting stress-strain monitor system for a machine includes at least one stress-strain sensor supported on a structural component of the machine. The power limiting stress-strain monitor system also includes an electronic controller including a processor and a memory. The processor receives a signal from the stress-strain sensor, determines a degree of stress-strain at a location of the stress-strain sensor based on the signal, identifies a machine system associated with the stress-strain, and modifies a control signal to the machine system based on the degree of stress-strain.

Abstract: A liner system for a bed of a material hauling machine is provided. The liner system includes a first panel having a first surface and a second surface. The second surface includes a plurality of projected sections and defines a recess between each of the plurality of projected sections and a keyway recess. The liner system also includes a second panel having a first lip portion and a second lip portion configured to interconnect with the second and first lip portion of adjacent second panels respectively. The second panel also includes a first protruding portion configured to be received into the recess and a second protruding portion configured to be received into the keyway recess. The liner system further includes a locking panel having a first extension member, a second extension member and one or more fastening means configured to fasten the second panel to the first panel.

Abstract: A system for measuring wear performance of a ground engaging tool includes a first ultrasonic sensor that sends pulses in a direction substantially at a perpendicular to an unworn leading edge of the tool, and a second ultrasonic sensor that sends pulses in a direction at an angle offset with respect to the perpendicular to the unworn leading edge of the tool. The system also may include a wireless communication element sending signals from the ultrasonic sensors, and a controller receiving the signals from the communication element and determining wear performance of the ground engaging tool.
