摘要: The present invention relates to a replaceable cutting tip and, more particularly, to such cutting tips attachable to the cutting tip holders by a threaded connection. The cutting tip for a cutting tool includes a working end portion disposed along an axis of the cutting tip and including one or more cutting edges for machining a workpiece, and a mounting portion disposed along the axis of the cutting tip. The mounting portion includes a frustoconical supporting surface tip portion and a frustoconical threaded portion. The present invention also relates to a cutting tool per se.

摘要: The present invention relates to a tool head preferably for milling. The tool head is connectable to a toolholder. The tool head includes a cutting portion and a mounting portion. The mounting portion includes an axial stop surface and a radial stop surface. Dimensions and tolerances of the axial stop surface and the radial stop surface are selected such that the axial stop surface will abut an axial stop on the toolholder to prevent axial movement of the toolholder relative to the tool head beyond the axial stop surface and the radial stop surface will be disposed proximate a radial stop of the toolholder to limit radial movement of the tool head relative to the toolholder when an integral fastening portion of the tool head and an integral fastening portion of the toolholder are fastened directly to one another and the axial stop surface and the axial stop abut.

摘要: The present invention relates to a tool and a male part for chip removing machining. The tool includes a male part and a holder for the male part. The male part includes a radial and axial supporting and positioning portion and a threaded portion. A largest diameter of the externally threaded portion is smaller than a smallest diameter of the radially and axially supporting and positioning portion. A transition portion is disposed along the axis of the male part between a radially largest portion of the radially and axially supporting and positioning portion and the externally threaded portion.

摘要: A milling cutter includes a body having three cutting edges formed by the body. An end of the body situated opposite the cutting edges defines a fastening end of the milling cutter. Each cutting edge extends from an outer periphery of the body substantially to a center rotational axis of the body along a substantially convexly curved path. Radially outer and radially inner ends of each cutting edge are situated axially rearwardly of an axially foremost point of the cutting edge. Each cutting edge lies on a respective imaginary sphere having a radius which has a center which that is spaced from the cutting edge in a direction toward the fastening end and spaced radially from the center axis.
