    摘要: A control method, capable of reducing the call dropped rate of a mobile station in a wireless communication system, includes monitoring receiving power levels of a plurality of neighbor cells of the wireless communication system according to an information of a serving cell of the wireless communication system; and if the Base Station Identification Codes (BSICs) of the six neighbor cells corresponding to the six strongest receiving power levels are known, and if the BSIC of at least one neighbor cell corresponding to at least one receiving power level other than the six strongest ones is unknown, performing frequency correction and synchronization of the mobile station with respect to the at least one neighbor cell's Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) to decode the at least one neighbor cell's BSIC.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for selecting a public land mobile network (PLMN) for a mobile station are provided. The method and the apparatus according to this invention use the first and the second system information included in the broadcasting information broadcasted by a base station to find out all of the base stations belonging to the same PLMN as that base station in the base station table, and group those base stations belonging to the same PLMN as a base station group. The method and the apparatus according to this invention only need to synchronize with one base station in a base station group, and the other base stations belonging to the same base station group as that base station are known. Accordingly, the selection method according to this invention can substantially reduce the time for selecting a PLMN and improve the corresponding efficiency.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for selecting a public land mobile network (PLMN) for a mobile station are provided. The method and the apparatus according to this invention use the first and the second system information included in the broadcasting information broadcasted by a base station to find out all of the base stations belonging to the same PLMN as that base station in the base station table, and group those base stations belonging to the same PLMN as a base station group. The method and the apparatus according to this invention only need to synchronize with one base station in a base station group, and the other base stations belonging to the same base station group as that base station are known.     摘要: A method and system for obtaining focus optimization in an optical disc system is disclosed. The focus offset of a recording unit is set to a first of a plurality of predetermined values. A HF quality value is measured and stored for the selected focus offset value of the recording unit. The focus offset is then set to a best-known focus offset value. Tracks on the optical media being read are then jumped. The above steps are then repeated for each of the plurality of predetermined focus offset values. The optimal focus setting is then determined from the stored HF quality measurements.

    摘要: A method and system for obtaining focus optimization in an optical disc system is disclosed. The focus offset of a recording unit is set to a first of a plurality of predetermined values. A HF quality value is measured and stored for the selected focus offset value of the recording unit. The focus offset is then set to a best-known focus offset value.
