Abstract: An optical scanner includes a light source, an optical phased array, a monitoring light receiving unit, and a signal processing unit. The optical phased array implements scanning by a light beam by individually controlling phases of a plurality of branched lights into which light supplied from the light source is branched, using a scanning phase amount, and radiating light from an antenna array that has a plurality of antenna elements. The monitoring light receiving unit receives light radiated from the optical phased array. The signal processing unit detects characteristics of the light beam from a detection result of the monitoring light receiving unit and generate a phase adjustment amount for correcting the scanning phase amount such that a detection value of the characteristics coincides with a design value prepared in advance.

Abstract: A fine section setting unit of a laser radar device sets, for a beat signal waveform indicating time change of a beat signal amplitude of an up beat signal, a plurality of fine sections within time ranges of the beat signal waveform. A fine section extraction unit extracts at least one fine section satisfying a preset extraction condition indicating that the beat signal amplitude in the fine section is high, from among the set plurality of fine sections. A peak detection unit subjects the beat signal in the extracted fine section to frequency analysis to calculate a fine section frequency spectrum and detect a peak frequency, which is a peak in the fine section frequency spectrum.

Abstract: A frequency sweep characteristic measurement device splits the laser light to generate a difference in lengths of optical paths and combines the split laser lights to generate a combined light. This device receives the combined light, converts the received light into a beat signal, and outputs the beat signal. Further, this device adjusts a waveform so that an amplitude and a phase match at both ends of the beat signal, calculates a quadrature component by performing a Hilbert transform on the beat signal whose waveform has been adjusted, and calculates an instantaneous phase of the beat signal by calculating an inverse tangent of the quadrature component and the beat signal whose waveform has been adjusted. This device calculates the frequency sweep characteristic of the laser light based on the instantaneous phase and the difference in the lengths of the optical paths.

Abstract: A laser radar device includes a transmission unit, a scanning unit, a distance calculation section, and a movement control unit. The transmission unit transmits laser light that has been subjected to frequency modulation. The scanning unit performs scanning with the laser light. For each of a plurality of partial regions obtained by dividing a laser light scanning region preset as a two-dimensional region which the scanning unit scans with the laser light, the distance calculation section receives the laser light that has been reflected by an object, and calculates a distance to the object in the partial region. The movement control unit controls movement of the laser light so that the laser light moves in the partial region, with Δθ>(1.22*λ/d) being met.

Abstract: An optical scanner includes a light receiving unit, a reference light irradiating unit, and a light-receiving-side correcting unit. The light receiving unit includes an optical phased array that implements scanning by a light beam by individually controlling phases of a plurality of branched lights using a scanning phase amount. The reference light irradiating unit generates reference light and irradiate the reference light onto the light receiving unit. The light-receiving-side correcting unit estimates a phase shift amount that occurs in the plurality of branched lights as a result of distortion of a substrate on which the light receiving unit is mounted from a detection result of the light receiving unit onto which the reference light is incident, and sets a phase adjustment amount to be applied to the plurality of branched lights such that the estimated phase shift amount decreases.

Abstract: A light irradiation apparatus includes an optical window, a light source and an irradiation unit. The optical window is formed of a light-transmissive material. The light source is configured to emit irradiation light with linear polarization. The irradiation unit is configured to irradiate the irradiation light emitted from the light source toward a preset irradiation range through the optical window. Moreover, the optical window has a shape such that the reflectivity of the irradiation light within a specified range is lower than or equal to a preset upper limit; the specified range is provided within the irradiation range.
