    Abstract: A valve device includes a valve, a drive device, and a transmission unit. A valve changes a flow mode of refrigerant that flows in a circulation path of a refrigeration cycle device. The transmission unit includes a driving-side rotary body, a magnetic transmission member, and a driven-side rotary body. The driving-side rotary body includes multiple magnetic magnet poles in a rotational direction. The magnetic transmission member includes multiple magnetic transmission bodies which are configured to be magnetized by the magnetic magnet poles. The driven-side rotary body includes multiple magnetic magnet poles in a rotational direction. The driven-side rotary body rotates in response to a rotary motion of the multiple magnetic magnet poles of the driving-side rotary body via the magnetic transmission body. The number of the magnetic magnet poles and the number of the magnetic transmission bodies are different from each other. The rotation is transmitted from the driving-side rotary body to the driven-side rotary body via the magnetic transmission member in a non-contact manner.

    Abstract: A power transmission device includes a magnetic gear with an input shaft magnet that receives rotational driving force, a magnetic modulator to modulate magnetic flux, a multi-pole magnet with more poles than the input shaft magnet, and an output shaft rotating with either the magnetic modulator or the multi-pole magnet. The device also features a magnetic circuit where the magnetic flux flows in parallel from the input shaft magnet. Between the input shaft magnet and the magnetic modulator is a flux-forming member with higher magnetic permeability than a vacuum, forming a short-circuiting flux path. The magnetic circuit creates two paths: a torque generation path, where magnetic flux flows through the magnetic modulator and multi-pole magnet, and a short-circuit flux path, where it bypasses the magnetic modulator. The flux-forming member's magnetic permeability is within ±20% of the value that maximizes torque.

    Abstract: A motor-operated valve includes a motor, valve seat, valve body, magnetic gear, and controller. The motor generates rotational force when powered, allowing the valve body to open and close the valve port, which permits fluid passage. The magnetic gear transmits this force from the motor to the valve body. The controller regulates the electric current supplied to the motor. During fully-closed operation, the controller limits the current to less than a fully-closed current limit value, ensuring the valve port is completely closed. This limit value is higher than the adjusting current value, which is the current supplied during valve opening adjustments.

The valve includes a valve body and changes a flow mode of refrigerant flowing in a circulation path of a refrigeration cycle device. The drive device includes an electric drive unit as a drive source. The magnet coupling includes a driving-side rotary body and a driven-side rotary body that are magnetically connected to each other in a non-contact manner and transmits a rotary motion of the electric drive unit from the driving-side rotary body to the driven-side rotary body. The screw mechanism converts the rotary motion of the driven-side rotary body into an axial linear motion of the valve body. The valve device is configured to change the flow mode of refrigerant by using the linear motion of the valve body caused via the magnet coupling and the screw mechanism in response to the drive of the electric drive unit.
