摘要： System and method for simultaneously providing a wavelength spectral distribution and a temporal distribution of an incident light beam. The light beam is received at a wavelength spectral distribution module and is separated into light beam segments corresponding to at least two different wavelengths in a first selected direction transverse to beam propagation direction. The light beam is also received at a temporal distribution module, and segments of the light beam are distributed corresponding to at least two different times at which light in the beam was produced, in a second selected direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The temporal distribution module may include a rotating segmented mirror.

摘要： A system and method for allowing flexible and simultaneous updates to database objects from one or more users is disclosed. The system may receive a change request to the object from the first user and then from a second user. The system may determine if the object is locked and, if so, informing the first user. If an edit request is received from the second user, the second user may be provided with multiple options, such as incorporating changes made by first user and overwriting changes made by second user with changes made by first user, incorporating changes made by first user and overwriting changes made by first user with changes made by second user, and cancelling changes made by second user.

摘要： A processor retention assembly for housing multiple processor modules is herein disclosed. The processor retention assembly has a pair of lock levers, positioned on opposite sides of the processor module, that securely fastens each processor module to a connector on a circuit board and to the processor retention assembly. The lock levers ensure that the processor module is securely fastened to the connector and to the processor retention assembly so that the processor module and the circuit board are not damaged during mechanical shock and vibration. In addition, the lock levers eliminate the need for the processor module to contain any type of lock mechanism thereby allowing the processor retention assembly to house various types of devices, including those with lock mechanisms.

摘要： An imaging apparatus including a media source having a plurality of sheets of photothermographic imaging media contained therein, an exposure unit including an input engagement point, an output engagement point, and a laser module positioned therebetween, and a driven roller pair forming a nip. A driven roller pair is configured to receive a leading edge of a sheet from a media source and is configured to begin extracting the sheet from the media source and driving the sheet along a transport path extending from the media source to at least the output engagement point of the exposure unit. Upon the leading edge being engaged by the input engagement point, the nip is configured to open while the trailing edge of sheet is still within the media source such that a remaining portion of the sheet is extracted from the media source by the exposure unit while the laser module exposes a desired image on the sheet.

摘要： Two cap modifications are disclosed for use on water bottles to be installed in water dispensers. A central conical well in the top of the cap is formed with a scoreline. When the bottle is lowered into a dispenser, a probe of the dispenser enters the well and causes it to split along the scoreline. When the bottle is raised, the well substantially returns to initial condition, inhibiting spillage of any liquid remaining in the bottle.

摘要： A glide head that can be used to certify disks of hard disk drives. The glide head includes a heater that can change the temperature of a slider surface of the head and vary the head flying height. The slider surface may induce the negative pressure so that the glide head more accurately simulates a head used in a production disk drive. A piezoelectric transducer may be coupled to the glide head so that contact between the head and a disk may be sensed and recorded in a disk certification routine.
