Abstract:
Sequential selections are presented by receiving an input on an active portion of a display of the computing device. While the input is received, a plurality of selections are sequentially displayed on the display. An indication is received that the input on the active portion of the display of the computing device has changed. In response to receiving the indication that the input has changed, the computing device stops presenting the plurality of selections and determines which selection of the plurality of selections was presented on the display when the input changed. The determined selection is then displayed.
Abstract:
When a user taps and holds a selection on a touchscreen display, such as a “buy” button, an action occurs. Subsequently, when the user releases the button (or performs some other action), another action initiates or occurs. The other action may depend on when the user releases the button, where the user moves a finger to on the display, information about the user, and/or the display or information on the device when the button is released. After the button is released, other selections or actions may be presented on the touchscreen sequentially such that the user can release the hold to choose the selection or on one screen such that the user can move to the desired selection for review and/or editing.

Abstract:
A system and method of determining online recommendations based on off-site activity are disclosed. In some example embodiments, user input identifying at least one account of a first user is received, with each one of the account(s) being hosted by a corresponding online service independent of a first website. A link with the account(s) is established. Purchase history information of the first user is accessed from the account(s). A first pattern of purchasing activity for the first user is determined based on the purchase history information. A first recommendation is generated based on the determined first pattern. The first recommendation comprises a first content of the first website. A presentation time for the first recommendation is determined based on the determined first pattern. The first recommendation is caused to be presented to the first user on a first computing device at the determined presentation time.

Abstract:
A system or method for implementing an online marketplace for local merchants is provided. In particular, an online portal or interface is provided to allow local merchants to set up virtual stores at the online marketplace. The portal or interface may be configured to register a local merchant by receiving and storing the local merchant's information. For example, the local merchant may enter the merchant's name, type of merchant, operating hours, location, directions, type of products or services offered, delivery service, delivery range, wait time, inventory status, and the like. In particular, a database may be provided at the online marketplace to receive the local merchant's product information. The local merchant may upload product/inventory list, price list, product information, availability status, product condition, or the like to the database of the online marketplace.
