Abstract: A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising an ionomer composed of a reaction product of an acid-modified polymer component with a fatty acid metal salt, wherein the acid-modified polymer component is an acid-modified product of a non-crystalline polymer containing ethylene units, or a mixture of an acid-modified product of a non-crystalline polymer containing ethylene units and an acid-modified product of a crystalline polymer, and the fatty acid metal salt is at least one selected from the group consisting of divalent and trivalent fatty acid metal salts.
