    Abstract: A reciprocating thermal engine which converts heat energy into rotational mechanical motion by expansion and contraction of bimetallic elements. The bimetallic elements are cantilevered between a hot plate and a cold plate, and the bimetallic elements reciprocate due to alternate heating and cooling. This reciprocating motion is converted to rotational motion by means of cam followers acting on cam surfaces.
