Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer-implemented methods for populating a local site name index using click log data. One example process includes operations for generating values of metrics associated with a set of search results associated with a search term. In response to determining that a generated value exceeds a predetermined threshold criteria, a local site name is created by associating the search term with a host name portion of a URL associated with the search result to identify the term as the local site name associated with the host name portion of the URL, and adding the local site name to the local site name index.
