Abstract: In one implementation, a computer-implemented method includes receiving, at a computer system, an electronic photograph; and identifying, by the computer system, a plurality of users of depicted in the electronic photograph. The computer-implemented method can also include designating a group of users based on the identified plurality of users; and providing information regarding the designated group of users to one or more computing devices associated with one or more of the plurality of users.

Abstract: Embodiments include identifying a plurality of communication sessions, each of the plurality of communication sessions having multiple participants. Embodiments may also include applying at least one parameter to each of the communication sessions and determining a non-adjusted value for the at least one parameter for each of the communication sessions. Embodiments may further include determining whether the at least one parameter has been assigned a predetermined weight adjustment. If the at least one parameter has been assigned a weight adjustment, adjusting the value for the at least one parameter based upon the predetermined weight assigned to each of the at least one parameter. Embodiments may include generating a combined value for each of the communication sessions based upon, at least in part, one or more of the non-adjusted value and the adjusted value and ranking each of the communication sessions based upon, at least in part, the combined value.

Abstract: A computer-implemented technique can include receiving a video chat request to initiate a video chat with at least one invitee user. The technique can include for a specific invitee user, determining a degree of notification for a specific video chat invitation for the specific invitee user, the degree of notification comprising a notification medium and a notification level each having a degree of intrusiveness, wherein determining the degree of notification is based on: (a) a number of invitee users specified by the video chat request, and (b) video chat attributes of the specific invitee user. The technique can also include outputting the specific video chat invitation to an invitee computing device associated with the specific invitee user via the determined notification medium, wherein receipt of the specific video chat invitation causes the invitee computing device to notify the specific invitee user according to the determined notification level.
