Abstract: Managing aggregated node group power states. A reflected energy device may transmit energy to one of multiple aggregated node groups. Each aggregated node group includes multiple device nodes. The aggregated node group may be moved from one location to another. The transmitted energy is reflected to detect occurrence of a state change condition. A communication device such as the reflected energy device or an anchor node then instructs device node(s) of the aggregated node group to enter a high power state and to enter a low power state.

Abstract: A method, according to one example, includes sensing audio information with an audio microphone of a computing device. The method includes determining, by a controller of the computing device, whether the sensed audio information indicates footsteps moving toward the computing device. The method includes causing, by the controller, a powering up of a presence sensor having a higher power consumption than the microphone in response to a determination by the controller that the sensed audio information indicates footsteps moving toward the computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for detecting connections between components, such as 3D-printed components, using RFID tags, readers, and/or writers. For example, an RFID reader may read an identification code from an RFID tag that is at least partially 3D-printed as part of a first 3D-printed component to verify the connection to a second 3D-printed component. In various examples, the RFID reader may detect different identification codes depending on whether the first 3D-printed component is correctly connected to the second 3D-printed component, incorrectly connected to the second 3D-printed component, and/or connected to the second 3D-printed component in the past.
