Abstract: In a glass-making method and a tool involved in carrying out the method, the tool is subjected to heating. The invention provides for controlling the temperature of the tool by providing the latter with at least one internal chamber and accommodating therein a vaporizable volatile heat-exchange medium which is evaporable in the chamber in one region thereof as a result of the heating of the tool, moves to another cooler region where it becomes condensed, and is returned to the one region by capillary means accommodated in the chamber.
