Abstract: The present disclosure relates to symbol processing methods. One example method, applied to a radio unit, includes detecting numeric values of first N sampling points on each symbol of a target subframe, where symbol periodicities of symbols of the target subframe are the same, and N is a positive integer greater than 0, in response to detecting that numeric values of first N sampling points on a first symbol are all 0, determining that no service data is sent on the first symbol, and shutting down a power amplifier within a symbol periodicity of the first symbol.
