    Abstract: An optical path switching method is applied to a surveillance module. The method includes: determining a target magnification; and (i) when the target magnification is less than or equal to a maximum magnification of a camera, setting a magnification of the camera to the target magnification, determining that a reflection element is at a first location or in a first working state, and performing image capture by using the camera alone; or (ii) when the target magnification is greater than a maximum magnification of the camera, setting a magnification of the camera to a first magnification, determining that the reflection element is at a second location or in a second working state, and performing image capture by using both the camera and a teleconverter, where a product of the first magnification and a magnification of the teleconverter is the target magnification. The method increases a surveillance distance while reducing costs.

    Abstract: A photographing method, a camera module, and an electronic device relate to the field of photographing technologies and implement a zoom function and reduce hardware costs. The camera module includes a first optical path switching element, a first optical steering element, a first fixed-focus lens group, a second fixed-focus lens group, and an image sensor. The first optical path switching element whose position or working state is variable is configured to change an optical path of the first beam from the first fixed-focus lens group, the first beam with the optical path changed is directed to the image sensor, or the second beam with the optical path changed is directed to the image sensor. The image sensor is configured to receive the first beam with the optical path changed or receive the second beam with the optical path changed, and generate an image.

    Abstract: This application provides a lens module and a lens module control method to implement, among other features, automatic focusing and improve image definition. The lens module includes an imaging lens, a first control module, a first processing module, a liquid lens, and an image chip. The liquid lens is configured to refract an imaging beam that comes from the imaging lens, and the liquid lens comprises a transparent first flat lens and a transparent second flat lens that are parallel to each other. The first control module is configured to adjust a distance between the first flat lens and the second flat lens. The first processing module is configured to adjust a distance between the first flat lens and the second flat lens by using the first control module and based on a definition of the digital image, so as to adjust the definition of the image generated by the image chip.

    Abstract: A polarizer, a polarizer array, a polarization-controllable method and apparatus, and an electronic device are disclosed. The polarizer includes multiple types of polarization units, each polarization unit includes a first liquid crystal cell and a second liquid crystal cell that are laminated, each liquid crystal cell includes a liquid crystal layer and an alignment film, and the alignment film is connected to an electrode layer configured to apply an external voltage to the liquid crystal layer. The first liquid crystal cell and the second liquid crystal cell of each polarization unit may be separately controlled as “connected” or “disconnected”, and orientations of alignment films of first liquid crystal cells between all the multiple types of polarization units are different. In a same polarization unit, when one liquid crystal cell is in an on state, emergent light of the polarization unit is polarized light in one polarization direction.

    Abstract: This application provides a compact camera module, which includes a first actuator, an optical lens component, a ray adjustment component, and an image sensor. The ray adjustment component and the image sensor are sequentially disposed along a direction of a principal optical axis of the optical lens component. The optical lens component is configured to receive rays from a photographed object. The ray adjustment component is configured to fold an optical path of the rays propagated from the optical lens component. The first actuator is configured to drive the ray adjustment component to move, so that the rays whose optical path is folded are focused on the image sensor.
