摘要： A tape cassette is provided which is so constructed that a plurality of weighting members are fittedly held in fitting apertures or recesses of a casing formed at corners of the casing in a detachable manner while being exposed at part thereof on a surface of the casing. Such construction of the cassette not only permits the cassette to exhibit optimum vibration-damping properties to ensure satisfactory recording and reproducing of the cassette and contributes an improvement in mechanical strength of the cassette but provides the cassette with a variation in design sufficient to exhibit good aesthetic properties, to thereby increase a merchandise value of the cassette.

摘要： A tape cassette comprises a case including upper and lower halves, each having a pair of parallel side walls and a back wall extending between the side walls, a pair of reels housed in the case on which magnetic tape is wound, and a brake member freely slidably mounted on the inner face of the lower case half, the brake member having a pair of legs which slide on the inner face of the lower case half along the side walls thereof, movable to a position wherein rotation of each of the reels is prevented. A control device is provided for limiting the movement of each of the legs of the brake member in the direction of the width of the case. The control device includes members each of which projects from a respective one of the side walls of the upper case half and is located adjacent to one face of a respective one of the legs of the control device which is opposite to the face thereof which slides on the inner face of the lower case half.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette housing is divided into a major part and a rear frame member attached to the rear end of the major part. The major part is divided into a pair of side frame members which are formed of a material of low friction coefficient and a main body surrounded and held together by the side frame members and rear frame member. The housing is of double-layer structure consisting of inside and outside layers. The inside layers are formed with steps along the edges of the side frame members and the rear frame member, and the outside layers are so formed as to fall onto the steps and extend inwardly of the edges of the side frame members. The main body and side frame members are formed with mutually engageable, temporary fasteners. The outer surface of the outside layer is satin crape finished and at least the interface between the inside and outside layers mirror finished.

摘要： A tape cassette has a case with upper and lower halves and an open space at the front thereof. A magnetic tape housed in the case is wound around a pair of reels. A brake is slidably mounted on the inner surface of the lower half of the case to prevent the reels from being rotated. Part of a spring is attached to the brake. The spring has free ends and urges the brake in a direction. A device for positioning the spring includes a partition wall on the inner surface of the lower half of the case which partitions the open case from the inside of the case. An independent abutment member on the partition wall abuts the free ends of the spring.
