摘要： An apparatus for producing an optical data recording medium comprising a turn table adapted to support a substrate of the recording medium and a nozzle for dropping a coating liquid onto the substrate, the coating liquid dropped on the substrate being spread over the substrate by a rotational force of the turn table to form a coating layer, the apparatus being provided with a gas flow suppressing type housing which is partitioned off from the atmosphere so as to suppress the convection current flowing, due to the rotation of the turn table, toward a central portion of the substrate and further toward the outer circumferential portion thereof along a top surface of the substrate and to suppress the evaporation of a solvent of the coating liquid into the atmosphere, the nozzle being arranged above the inner circumferential portion of the substrate with its end portion being directed to the outer circumferential portion of the substrate, the end portion of the nozzle being inclined so as to form an angle less than 90 degrees relative to the substrate as viewed from a side of the substrate, the coating liquid application being carried out in a hermetically sealed atmosphere within a sealed chamber.

The toner transport screw, in which a helical blade is disposed on the circumference of a rotating shaft, has at least one spiral direction reversal part formed by connecting the respective ends of a first blade part and a second blade part, the directions of spiral of the first blade part and the second blade part being in opposite directions. A passage, which allows the toner to pass through the blades in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft, is formed in the spiral direction reversal part.

摘要： A development device includes a developer carrier, a bearing member, a biasing member, and a guide. The developer carrier supplies a developer to an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier to develop the electrostatic latent image into a toner image. The bearing member rotatably supports the developer carrier axially. The biasing member is provided on a side of the bearing member opposite the image carrier to apply a force to the bearing member to move the bearing member and the developer carrier toward the image carrier. The guide is disposed about the bearing member to enable the bearing member to move therebetween and guide the bearing member toward the image carrier. The bearing member includes a rotatable part to rotate and slide over the guide while contacting the guide.
