    Abstract: A network slice selection method, a radio access device, and a terminal, where the method includes obtaining, by a radio access network (RAN) device, network slice information, sending, by the RAN device, a first message to a terminal, where the first message includes the network slice information, receiving, by the RAN device, a first access request message from the terminal after the terminal selects, based on the network slice information, first attribute information of a first network slice to be accessed by the terminal, and selecting, by the RAN device based on the first attribute information of the first network slice, a second network slice to be accessed by the terminal. The method enables an operator to flexibly configure a network slice, and reduces a communication latency and signaling overheads in a process in which a terminal selects a network slice.

    Abstract: The method includes: sending, by a first base station, a first message to a second base station, where the first message is used to request to add a data radio bearer DRB; receiving, by the first base station, a second message sent by the second base station, where the second message is used to indicate an identifier of at least one DRB; and sending, by the first base station, first information to user equipment, where the first information includes DRB configuration information, and the DRB configuration information includes the identifier of the at least one DRB. In the embodiments of this application, the first base station can add the DRB based on a radio resource management policy and a network condition of the first base station, to reconfigure a mapping relationship between a QoS flow and the DRB, so that setting of the DRB is more flexible and effective.

    Abstract: A method is provided for radio link failure (RLF) detection, link failure recovery, beam failure recovery (BFR) and radio link monitoring (RLM), and for interactions between modules for RLF, BFR, RLM and, integration and unification of indications. A device may measure a reference signal received over one or more communication paths of a radio link to generate reference signal measurements, and select, from the one or more communications paths, at least one path for link quality assessment of a radio link operation based on the reference signal measurements and a configured criterion. The device may generate a radio link indication based on an assessed link quality metric or a link recovery operation status associated with the selected at least one path, and send the radio link indication from a physical layer of the device to a upper layer of the device.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a policy may be defined, which specifies that an operation be performed over a first set of channels before being performed over a second set of channels different than the first set of channels. The first set of channels may be associated with a first set of frequencies, and the second set of channels may be associated with a second set of frequencies. A network device may perform paging according to the defined policy. A user equipment (UE) may perform paging, page monitoring, cell selection triggered by paging, or cell reselection triggered by paging according to the policy. The policy may be hardcoded, pre-configured or dynamically configured using signaling messages.
