Abstract: A magneto-resistive angle sensor system for measuring a rotational angle of a rotating component in an out-of-shaft configuration. The first component of the magnetic field may be on the second plane. The second sensing element may be capable of sensing a second component of the magnetic field. Abstract: In some implementations, a sensing device associated with less than a 360 degree measurement range may obtain a set of signal values. The sensing device may be configured to sense a magnetic field present at the sensing device and collect sensor data based on the magnetic field. The set of signal values may be included in the sensor data collected by the sensing device and may correspond to one or more components of the magnetic field present at the sensing device. The sensing device may determine, based on the set of signal values, a set of calibration points and a set of angular positions. The sensing device may calculate a set of calibration parameters based on the set of calibration points and the set of angular positions. The sensing device may utilize the set of calibration parameters to perform one or more safety checks.

Abstract: Implementations relate to a sensor assembly for determining rotation about an axis and linear movement parallel to the axis. The sensor assembly comprises a magnetic structure comprising a north pole radially displaced from the axis and a south pole radially displaced from the axis and opposite to the north pole. The north pole and the south pole of the magnet extend radially into the direction of the axis at an axial end of the sensor assembly. The sensor assembly further comprises at least one sensor element sensitive to magnetic fields radially between the north pole and the south pole.
